The "Safe Harbor" Bio: Michelle Skimmons
For over a decade, I have guided individuals through the complexities of personal growth and wellness. But my deepest understanding of the nervous system didn't just come from a textbook - it came from lived experience of finding my own way back to steady ground.

I spent years navigating the exhausting cycle of "fight or flight" searching for a sense of safety that felt perpetually out of reach. It was through this journey paired with a formal education at HCI that I discovered the profound power of nervous system regulation.

My approach

I believe that true healing isn't about "fixing" yourself; it's about anchoring yourself.

Your nervous system is the lens through which you experience the world. When that lens is clouded by chronic stress or trauma, life feels like a storm you are constantly bracing against.

In my practice, I combine ten years of coaching expertise with evidence-based somatic tools to help you:

-
Identify your unique patterns of dysregulation.
-
Expand your window of tolerance for stress
-
Return to a state of ventral vagal safety -what I call the "anchored state"

Why Work With Me?

I don't just coach from a place of theory; I coach from a place of resonance. I know the courage it takes to slow down when your body is telling you to run. Whether you are dealing with burnout, anxiety, or a lingering sense of unease, I provide the structure and the stillness needed to help you rewire your internal world.
